Endo!
Endo will go missing in 300 seconds.
A maelstrom of wind and rain encircle the Dust Mountains. Flashes of thunder occasionally makes clear the peaks with enough violent light to melt the snow- trickling newly made rivers with every roar. Great redwood trees sway like reeds, with an ominous whistle-song made by their leaves. In the eye of the storm, in the basin of the jagged mountain range is our little town. It has a hundred little cottages with little people inside of it, only as aware as they have to be of the sky flooding above them. Children put their shoes by the door, awaiting the sunny morning. Some old men ring eachother to check book club is still on- of course it is. Here, in Somewater, no one locks their doors, homemade bird houses dot the trees, and school closes twice as long on snow days.
At the village center, the wind rocks the old wood of the town hall. It's strong- it'll hold, like it's held for every year Sunny and Endo have been friends. Right now, they're sleeping together in the waiting room, in comfy arm chairs as good at holding the unconscious as any old bed is. A murder of light reflects off the window, waking but not scaring the two boys. Sunny softly whispers:
"Endo... are you awake?"
Endo's white hair lifts off Sunny's chest. He makes a low little chirp of confirmation.
"Endo... let's go raid the kitchen," Sunny mutters. Endo's head lifts, getting his eyes to meet his. His white eyes pierce an expression into Sunny, something like "I'm tired. Go do it yourself". So, Sunny gets up, stretching his whole body into an audible crack. Endo's body falls limply against the chair, no longer supported. It is then that Sunny walks out the room, and shuts the door on the empty room Endo sleeps in.
